From Constipated To Regular, 10 Pounds Lost, And 9 Inches Lost!

By Dr. Jade Malay · July 12, 2010 · Filed in Nutrition · No Comments »

The Zerona LipoLaser eliminates fat through normal bowel movements.  What about those who are experiencing constipation?  I consider constipation, only having one bowel movement a day.  A patient came in who was only having one bowel movement every 2-3 days.  Before we put her under the Zerona laser, I worked on her constipation problem with the lymphstar machine and natural supplements.  Once her bowel movements normalized, she started her Zerona treatments.  Not only is she no longer constipated, but she lost 10 pounds and 9 inches!  This is why it is so important to make sure you work with a doctor who will make sure your body is working properly before placing you under the laser.  If not, the laser may be opening up the fat cell, but if your body isn’t getting rid of the fat through natural bowel movements, the fat may be reabsorbing right back into the fat cell.

Does The Zerona Lipo Laser Procedure Hurt?

By Dr. Jade Malay · April 5, 2010 · Filed in Zerona Laser · No Comments »

Okay I need to address this one once and for all!  Is there any physical pain during your Zerona Lipo-Laser treatment?  No! No! and No!.  It’s just a matter of lying down on a nice comfy table.  It’s actually very relaxing.  There is a soft hum that the machine makes…but honestly that sort of lulls me to sleep.  There is no heat, no irritation –no anything other than relaxation.

Now being on the Clearvite diet –as some of the patients have told me “can be painful”.  But painful in the sense of  “cutting out breads” or “cutting out alcohol” or cutting out caffeine” Its amazing to me (and I speak from experience)- what a strong addiction things like caffeine or gluten can become.

So to recap- No physical pain when you are getting the Zerona LipoLaser treatments.  – Just maybe a bit of uncomfortableness  (I made that word up-pretty good I think!) when you start to realize that you may have some addictions to foods or to caffeine!

More Zerona FAQs…My Question is, “Are You Ready For Swimsuit Season?”

By Dr. Jade Malay · March 15, 2010 · Filed in Better Zerona Results · 1 Comment »

What can I expect at my appointments?

You can expect 40 minutes to relax, read or do absolutely nothing. The Zerona® treatment is completely painless. There is no heat or any sensation whatsoever while being treated. Each treatment you will be met by your physician or technician who will position the laser at the desired areas of the body, he/she will step out for 20 minutes while the front of your body is treated and then will return to reset for the backside of your body for an additional 20 minutes. After you are done you can get back to your normal activities immediately with absolutely no downtime, nor pain, swelling or any discomfort. This is a symptom –free process except for losing unwanted inches.

What happens if I miss an appointment?

em>It is not recommended that you miss an appointment. Prior to starting the Zerona® treatment, it is important that you are committed to the recommended lifestyle protocol which includes at least 6 treatments, every other day for 40 minutes and not to exceed 72 hours between treatments. If more than 72 hours intervenes, some of the fat may be uptaken by the fat cells again.

How is it different than liposuction?

Liposuction is an invasive procedure that removes the entire area of fat cells from deposits beneath the skin using a hollow stainless steel tube (called a cannula) with the assistance of a powerful vacuum. Liposuction can be accomplished either with the use of general anesthesia, or with IV sedation, or totally by local anesthesia. In contrast, the Zerona® treatment is a 100% non-invasive that uses a low level laser applied externally to stimulate the fat cell and emulsify and release fat. There is no use of anesthesia, nor any pain, gels, creams, numbing agents, needles and no downtime.

How is it different from other “non-invasive” body slimming techniques?

The Zerona® laser is the only completely safe and effective non-invasive treatment for body slimming on the market today. There is no possibility of injury. No technician will be pushing on you or using any device against your body. You simply lay beneath the Zerona® lights.<.blockquote>

When Will I Lose It!!

By Dr. Jade Malay · February 24, 2010 · Filed in Zerona Laser · No Comments »

People ask me all the time “When will I lose the inches?”  “How long will it take?”

Well the answer to that is- I don’t know.

Some patients notice a difference in their clothes right away.  Some notice it after 3 or 4 sessions and some don’t notice it until all the sessions are complete!

Some even notice that they are still losing inches weeks after the treatments have ended.

So there you have it-a very varied answer!

EB Detox and How it Works

By Dr. Jade Malay · February 22, 2010 · Filed in Better Zerona Results, How it works · No Comments »

I am going to show off the EB305 from Erchonia today.  It is the Detox tool that we use in our office with our patients.  It is important to detoxify the body to get optimum results in treatment.  This is true for Zerona and other conditions that our office treats.  Below is the summary from Erchonia and some photographs from before, during, and after treatment.

The “EB” Cellular Cleanse Therapy is based on bioenergetics technology, creating an energy field similar to the energy produced by the human body. This field stimulates cellular energy and enhances the body’s ability to internally cleanse itself naturally, at an increased rate, restoring and normalizing the body’s correct pH balance and energy levels.

The principal is similar to how a magnet works. Except in this case, the magnetic force functions to help cancel out and eliminate harmful free radicals and other toxins from the body. The “EB” Cellular Cleanse Therapy uses an aqueous solution (water & sodium chloride) in a foot bath as a conduit for exchanging ions. The energy field created within the body draws negative and positive ions together, helping negate their harmful effect while gently stimulating cellular cleansing.

Bioenergetics is important because the amount of energy within a person at the cellular level and their residual balance of energy have a direct correlation with the body’s ability to problem solve, perform all types of work and to remove waste. In terms of bio-electricity, the cells of a healthy human organism have a negative potential of between 70 and 90 millivolts. Within this range of potential, nutritional absorption and the discharge of toxic waste are efficient. Stressed or injured cells on the other hand, can measure as little as 10-20 millivolts, resulting in both poor nutritional absorption and discharge of toxic waste. Such a condition can occur suddenly, as a result of an accident, or develop more slowly as a result of the progressive build up of positive ions due to the effects of modern diets, stressed life-styles and the impact of a toxic environment.

The Lymphatic System, Lymphatic Massage, and the Zerona Laser

By Dr. Jade Malay · February 19, 2010 · Filed in Zerona Laser · No Comments »

The Lymphatic System is what aids in transporting the fat from the area the Zerona laser concentrates on to dump out of your body via your normal bowel movements.  Below is an explanation of the lymphatic system and lymphatic massage.

The Lymphatic System
As a vital component of the body’s immune function, the lymphatic system is comprised of several organs (thymus, tonsils, spleen, adenoids), hundreds of lymph nodes, and a multitude of vessels that run throughout the body similar to our circulatory system of veins and arteries. These lymphatic vessels carry a clear fluid, known as lymph, that circulates around the body’s tissues, absorbing fluid, waste products, dead cells, bacteria, viruses, fats, and proteins from the tissue as it goes, while also giving passage to immune cells as they’re needed.

Lymph nodes are found throughout the body — including most notably the neck, armpits, and groin — and have the job of filtering the lymph fluid and removing damaging elements they’ve picked up along the way, such as bacteria and cancer cells. When the lymph nodes detect these foreign elements in the fluid, they begin producing additional infection-fighting white blood cells, and become enlarged in the process, hence a swollen gland.

If the system gets overtaxed because of ill health, surgery, stress, or poor diet, it can get sluggish and not do its job as efficiently. As a major player in the body’s immune process, it makes sense that by waking up the lymphatic system you dramatically improve your chances for staying healthy.

A Massage That’s Barely There
With lymph massage, the system gets a wake-up call through delicate means. Lymph massage is extremely gentle and slow, not just as an aspect of its healing nature, but by necessity. “Most of the lymphatic vessels are just below the skin and are stimulated by .5 to 8 ounces of pressure per square inch,” French says. That light, slow pressure mimics the pulse and rhythm of the lymphatic system itself and gets the vessels to respond as they should. Each stroke slightly moves the skin in the direction of the lymphatic flow to encourage the drainage of fluid and waste.

The delicate nature of each stroke as it carefully glides across the skin can sometimes make it feel as if nothing is happening, especially for those who are used to deep bodywork. But it’s exactly that noninvasive quality of lymph massage that makes it work. “The results can be profound,” French says.

After your lymph massage, it’s important to drink plenty of water as things get moving again. French says it’s possible you could feel some mild, flu-like symptoms, depending on how toxic your body is (i.e., what environmental pollutants you’ve been exposed to, what sort of diet you’ve been following, what types of medications you’re taking, and how much sugar or alcohol you consume). While most people come out of a typical lymph massage feeling nothing but relaxed, French says if you do feel a little off-kilter afterward, the best solution is to “drink plenty of water, watch your salt intake, and get up and move.” Movement, she says, creates a greater lymphatic response and will hurry the process along.

Gluten Free And The Zerona LipoLaser

By Dr. Jade Malay · February 17, 2010 · Filed in Better Zerona Results, Nutrition · No Comments »

As part of the Clearvite protocol going gluten free is suggested.  When people hear the phrase “gluten free,”  some people’s palms will begin to sweat as the thought of eliminating bread, pasta, and anything with the words “modified food starch” on the label.

Well, there really is no reason to feel this way.  Today, there are several gluten free options…ya just gotta look.  I’ve found that Whole Foods has the best gluten free alternatives, but places like Sprouts and even main stream grocery stores like Tom Thumb and Kroger have gluten free choices.  There are gluten free breads, pasta, cookies, ketchup, etc., etc. There are magazines about gluten free living, a couple that I’ve looked into are  “Living Without” and “Delight-Gluten Free.”  Gluten free websites are easily found on the web…it’s just a change in thinking.

Gluten is a common food allergy.  In fact 1 in every 133 person has a gluten intolerance and may not even know it.  There are tests we offer in our offices to test for the most common food allergies.

How does this affect your Zerona experience?  A food allergy will cause inflammation in the gut. Inflammation causes blood sugar to rise and alter metabolism.

Clearvite Nutritional Protocol And The Zerona Laser

By Dr. Jade Malay · February 16, 2010 · Filed in Better Zerona Results · 2 Comments »

One of the BIG reasons people who do the Zerona Laser with my office get better results than other offices is our nutritional protocol while you are doing the LipoLaser.

Clearvite is a dietary supplement that is shake that you can mix with nuts, fruit, unsweetened almond milk, or water.  (We’ll give you smoothie recepies that you can try out.)  The main purpose of the Clearvite program is to enhance liver function, improve metabolism, and improve detoxification.  Your liver is the main “filter” of your body and due to the poor foods we eat and toxins we are exposed to, our livers can get “clogged” and sluggish.  Many people while on Clearvite report improved bowel movement, increased energy, and improved mental clarity.

The Clearvite program is a 21 day program that also suggests a dietary plan in order to achieve maximum detoxification and effectiveness.   The purpose of the dietary plan is to eliminate commonly allergenic foods and to eat a “whole food” diet.  A whole food diet consists of lean meats and fruits and vegetables and eliminating processed and chemically altered foods.
